Zapote Medical Clinic

A few weeks ago we had a team come from South Carolina that helped us host a medical and dental clinic in Zapote (where we help run a school and nutrition center). The drive to Zapote takes 1.5 hours one way and requires crossing 4 river beds. Despite flight troubles and a lot of rain, the clinic ran smoothly and we were able to provide medical and dental care for over 500 people. Many of these people waited hours and hours to get seen by the doctor or dentist. It was humbling to see their patience and gratitude. We already look forward to the spring when this same team will return to run another clinic!
